Home Inspection Services

Every service is designed to give you a complete picture of the home you're buying, so your decisions are informed, not guessed.

Core service

Home Inspection

A home inspection is a comprehensive evaluation of a residential property's visible and accessible systems and components, conducted in accordance with Connecticut state regulations and InterNACHI standards.

Every inspection covers the full scope required by Connecticut law: structure, roof, exterior, electrical, plumbing, heating, cooling, interior, insulation, ventilation, and fireplaces. We physically access attics, crawlspaces, and roofs of safe pitch on every job. Thermal imaging and moisture detection are included as standard, not add-ons.

Every finding is documented in a detailed, photo-rich report written in plain language, delivered within 24 hours.

Additional services

Specialized testing available

Add any of these to an inspection or schedule them standalone. The instant estimator prices them in real time, or contact us to discuss what's right for your property.

Radon Testing

Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas and the second leading cause of lung cancer in the United States. Connecticut's geology makes elevated levels common, and many homes test high with no visible warning signs. We run a 48-hour continuous monitoring test alongside the inspection, and you receive a separate radon report the day we collect the monitor.

Mold Testing

Three lab-analyzed samples, chosen on site: air samples measured against an outdoor baseline, or a surface swab of a suspicious stain. Recommended when a musty smell, past water damage, or an unfinished attic or basement raises questions the eye alone cannot answer.

With an inspection$300 for three samplesStandalone: $350

Water Quality Testing

Certified laboratory testing in two levels. The basic test covers bacteria, nitrates, hardness, iron, and other common problems. The standard test adds arsenic, uranium, lead, and radon in water, which the state health department recommends for private wells. Results come as the laboratory's own signed report, within two to three business days. Need something specific, such as a single test, VOCs, heavy metals, or PFAS? Ask and we'll price it.

Well Flow Testing

Measures the rate at which a well replenishes its supply, a critical data point for any home on a private well. Low flow affects daily water availability, property value, and mortgage approval. Documented on-site, included in the report.

With an inspection$100Standalone: $125

New construction

Built new doesn't mean built perfect

New construction homes are inspected to the same comprehensive standards as any resale property, with two additional services for buyers at different stages of the build.

Pre-Drywall Inspection

Conducted after framing, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC rough-ins are complete but before drywall is installed: the only opportunity to verify what's inside the walls before it's sealed in permanently. Recommended for any new-construction buyer, regardless of builder reputation.

11-Month Warranty Inspection

Most new homes carry a one-year builder warranty. An inspection at month eleven identifies defects and workmanship issues while the builder is still legally obligated to fix them. Nothing is skipped because the home is new.

Every inspection is performed by the same inspector, to the same standard. No subcontractors, no variation in quality from one job to the next.
